Message from Board President:
Dear Friends and Supporters,
The future is bright for the young scholars who walk the halls of Sons of Little Haiti (SOLH) Academy—and it’s all because of you. Your generosity, time, and dedication are the driving forces behind our mission to empower youth through education, mentorship, and opportunity. I am deeply humbled and grateful for your continued support.
This year, we have witnessed remarkable growth in our students, especially those from communities affected by gun violence and economic hardship. Together, we’ve built programs that not only strengthen academics but also nurture leadership, confidence, and lifelong skills.
At SOLH, our initiatives include:
- Academic Mentoring: Personalized tutoring from kindergarten through 12th grade, serving over 100 students in core subjects.
- STEM Enrichment: Year-round and summer programs that inspire curiosity and innovation through hands-on learning.
- Financial Literacy & Investing Program (F.L.I.P.): An eight-week course teaching essential money skills to students and families. We’re thrilled to host the 2nd Annual F.L.I.P. Youth Summit on January 17, 2026—a celebration of learning and empowerment.
- Summer Stock Market Experience: In partnership with CLIMB USA, over 500 scholars nationwide compete in a simulated investment challenge. Our students have consistently ranked in the top ten!
- Haitian Heritage History Bee & Exemplary Student Recognition: For 13 years, we’ve honored Haitian culture and academic excellence, awarding over $75,000 in scholarships and prizes.
- Community Engagement: From the Vanguard Award recognizing local leaders, to the SOLH Next 3 Basketball Tournament, to volunteer and internship opportunities that build character and leadership.
Each of these milestones reflects your impact. Every donation, every volunteer hour, and every word of encouragement brings us closer to a world where every child has the opportunity to succeed.
As we look ahead, I am excited to announce our plans to expand into Broward County, partnering with local schools and officials to reach even more young scholars in need.
Thank you for being an essential part of this journey. I invite you to stay engaged—visit our website, volunteer, donate, attend our events, and share our mission. Together, we can continue to change lives and build a brighter, stronger future for our youth.
With deepest gratitude,
Georgia Walker-Paul
President, Sons of Little Haiti Academy
